ABSTRACT
The genesis economic idea of Globalization is to facilitate economic activity for local companies that could more easily export their products to a connected world. However, this is not the reality where oligopolies and business conglomerates create unfair competition for these companies. The globalized economic model does not provide real opportunities for small businesses. Environmental management models and a series of international seals and certifications create an intricate labyrinth that is impossible to overcome. These elements, among others, make Economic Globalization a facilitating element for the growth of local companies with an increase in their exports is a pure fallacy and this is the present study.
