ABSTRACT

The high consumption of today’s society is a cause for concern because, in addition to increasing waste, it causes raw materials to be used at a faster rate. The present study presents a viable technical solution for this situation. The implementation of heavy taxation on revenue for companies whose technology cannot reach, with their products, a certain minimum useful life. In the same vein, implement taxation on consumers who, within a given period, correctly stipulated, acquire the same technology without proven need. This way it is possible to mitigate society’s exacerbated consumerism to some degree, which brings benefits in terms of not using raw materials too quickly and reducing technological waste. As a consequence, the increase in revenue from the State is, indirectly, a way of pressuring technology companies to develop products that are not within the ideology of programmed technology.
