We look at any human being as a human being, no divisions. In today’s society, many human groups fight against each other. Racial groups ask for a voice, at the same time they seek to silence the voices of other groups that make the same request.
Racial groups, feminist groups, gender-based groups… they all want the same thing: VOICE! And for the voice they seek, in some cases, they want to silence the voices of others.
We do not see human beings as groups, within and isolated in niches. Every human being is human and we understand that divisions do not help in obtaining rights. This is because all humans should request human rights, regardless of their origin or orientation.
Our Ethics Department protects HUMAN BEINGS and does not buy or accept claims from any group. If the demand is just, then we don’t care about groups or factions. Factions and groups only dilute the force. If all groups should focused their force on obtaining the common good, the groups lose the sense.
In the Ethics Department we study the Human Being in its noblest character, we want to encourage good citizenship. If we protest against the corruption in politics, we must to see the corruption within ourselves. Society is a mirror of the citizen. The sum of citizens is what forms the society.
Thus in this Department we study the essentials values for a society that seeks the goog commom, the collective well.
Studies and critical of great thinkers and philosophers are the elements that form this Department. Philosophers and Thinkers such as Pythagoras, Confucius, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Immanuel Kant, Goethe, Nietzsche, Alex de Tocqueville, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Rousseau, Montesquieu, Thomas Aquinas, Adam Smith, David Ricardo, Milton Friedman, Friedrich Hayek , Mahatma Gandhi, among others who impacted the society in practical ways
Therefore, in this department, we seek to analyze reality and propose a viable change in it, based on the vast writings of the many thinkers who knew how to move from theory to social practice.
